Auditorium Experience

Lansing Community College Dart Auditorium

Located at Lansing Community College's (LCC) downtown campus, the Dart Auditorium mechanical upgrades project consists of replacing the steam to hot water heat exchanger, associated pumps and accessories with a new skid package that includes a shell and tube heat exchanger, pumps, air separator, expansion tank, valves, controls, and accessories.  The existing domestic water piping shall be insulated in this same mechanical room also.

The project also includes the installation of a new electric canister humidifier to serve the existing Auditorium air handling unit located on the second floor.  The existing Auditorium air handling unit motor shall be replaced with a VFD compatible motor, a new VFD shall be installed, and the existing controls shall be modified so the unit will operate as a single zone VAV unit to better dehumidify the space in the summer.

Jackson High School Additions and Renovations

250,000 square foot project to provide a complete retrofit of all plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems and included a science classroom addition, cafeteria addition and new west entry addition.  Matrix was responsible for design of all mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work including new boiler plant, new chiller water system and all associated heating, air conditioning and air handling systems.  Electrical work will included an expansion to the electrical system, replacement of switch gear, upgrade of all electrical distribution systems, new fire alarm and security system, data system raceway, and lighting systems throughout.

Charlotte Public Schools Additions and Renovations

Project includes: four elementary school renovations, five new computer rooms in four school buildings, high school renovations, middle school pool addition, high school auditorium.  Matrix was responsible for design of all electrical systems on the project.  Electrical work included new electrical services, replacement of switchgear, upgrade of all electrical distribution systems, new fire alarm and security system, data system raceway, and lighting systems throughout.

South Church Addition and Renovation

Project was a 25,200 square foot one story church addition and renovation.  Facility includes a worship space, multiple classrooms, storage, conference room, and administration office area.

Freeland United Methodist Church

Project included 11,500 square foot one story church with a partial basement and second floor mechanical penthouse.  Facility includes a full service kitchen, fellowship hall, 200 seat sanctuary, eight classrooms, and a small office area.
